Tommy Lee Maddox is a Georgia attorney who is a native of Atlanta. Growing up in a family full of lawyers, Mr. Maddox has been spotted in or around Georgia courtrooms since a very early age. Mr. Maddox attended Georgia State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1981. He then attended Woodrow Wilson College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1984. In 1985, he attended Atlanta Law School where he obtained his Master of Laws degree. Mr. Maddox was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and sworn in as an attorney on November 2, 1984. Mr. Maddox has maintained an active law practice since that time.
Mr. Maddox specializes in family matters such as divorce, child support and child custody modification, and contempt. Mr. Maddox also specializes in personal injury claims involving automobile collisions, tractor truck caused injury, car wrecks, workers compensation, premises liability, and medical malpractice. Although his offices are located in Canton and Roswell, Georgia, he represents clients from Atlanta, Alpharetta, Woodstock, Cumming, Marietta, Sandy Springs, and throughout the four corners of the State.
Mr. Maddox is also a State registered Mediator who can assist in the swift, effective, and inexpensive resolution of your civil dispute, disagreement, and/or lawsuit.
Mr. Maddox is admitted to practice before all State, Superior, and Federal District Courts of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Maddox has been rated by Martindale Hubbell as ‘A-V’ for the highest ranking in both legal ability and ethical standards.
Mr. Maddox’s outside interests include general aviation, shooting sports, model building, competitive drum & bugle corps, trumpet playing, big band jazz, and the raising of his four children. In 2021, Mr. Maddox was inducted into the Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps Hall of Fame.
